 Today's world is so fast pace and some of us don't have enough time in the day.  When it comes to making dinner or even appetizers can take some time.  I am here to share some Microwaveable appetizer reciepts with you do help you serve a great quality in less time.  Great for parties, game days, or just for your family.  Enjoy and please leave me a comment on how they turn out. =)

Stuffed Mushrooms

1/2 Pound meduim-size mushrooms

4 tablespoons butter or margarine

1/2 cup finely chopped green onions

3 tablespoons bread crumbs

1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

1. Clean mushrooms and separate caps and stems. Arrange caps hollow side up in a single layer in a 13" x 9" x 2" oblong baking dish. Set aside.

2. Dice mushroom stems finely. Combine with butter and grean onion in a 1-quart glass casserole. Microwave, uncovered, and cook cycle 1 (power level 10) for 3 to 4 minutes, or until onion is tender, stirring twice. Add bread crumbs and parsley flakes. Set aside.

3. Cover mushroom caps and microwave at cook cycle 2 (power leve 10) for 2 to 3 minutes, or until nearly cooked, rotating the dish 1/2 turn after the first minute. Stuff each cap with some of the bread crumb mixture. Cover and microwave at cook cycle 1 (power level 10) for 2 minutes, or until hot.

Makes 25 to 30 pieces

Made with Marshmellows

Cocktail Hotdogs

1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce

1/4 cup orange marmalade

1/4 teaspoon chilli powder

1 pound frankfurters

1. Combine barbecue sauce, marmalade, and chili powder in a 1 1/2 quart glass bowl. Cover. Microwave at cook cycle 1 (power level 10) for 5 minutes, or until hot.

2. cut frankfurters into 3/4 inch lengths. Fold frankfurters into sauce mixture, Cover. Microwave at cook cycle 2 (power level 10) for 5 to 6 minutes, or until hot, stirring once. Pass with cocktail picks or toothpicks.

Makes about 1 quart

Tex Mex Bean Dip

4 slices of bacon, cut into pieces

1 31-ounce can pork and beans in tomato sauce

3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 cloves garlic, pressed or finely chopped

1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons vinegar

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoon of salt

cayenne pepper to taste

1. Place bacon in a 1 1/2-quart glass casserole. Microwave, uncovered, at cook cycle 1 (power level 10) for 3 to 4 minutes, or until crisp. Remove bacon pieces and set aside. reserve drippings for next step.

2. Puree pork and beans in blender or food processor until smooth. Pour puree into casserole containing drippings and stir in all other ingredients except for bacon. Cover and microwave at cook cycle 2 (power level 10) for 7 to 8 minutes, or until mixture is piping hot, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle top with reserved bacon pieces.

Makes about 3 1/2 cups

Sweet and Sour Tuna Crackers

1/2 7-ounce can tuna, well drained

4tablespoons cream cheese, softened

3 tablespoons crushed pineapple, well drained

1 tablespoon white vinegar

1/8 teaspoon curry powder

24 crackers or melba toast rounds

1. Flake tuna and combine with all remaining ingredients, except crackers, in a 1-quart mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly.

2. Spread mixture on 24 crackers or melba toast rounds. Arrange 12 pieces in a circle on a paper plate. Microwave, uncovered, at cook cycle 1 (power level 10) for 2 to 3 minutes, or until crackers are bubbling. Repeat procedure with remaining crackers.

Makes 24 pieces

Anna, these all sound so wonderful. What a great bunch of appetizers. I will have to remember this the next time I am looking for a good one. The mushrooms would be a weak spot for me, I love those! These look wonderful.

I live in a dorm so anything microwavable is my best friend and those stuffed mushrooms are going to happen in the very near future. Thanks for the recipe!!
